A Kingston chocolate company has launched itself as an international exporter with the help of Council’s Business Mentor Partners Program.
Dingley-based Chocolate Works is a leading supplier of customised chocolate products for the promotional, corporate, hospitality and special event industries. It’s also a perfect example of how the Mentors Program can help local business.
Owner and operator, Graeme Bulluss, has been mentored by Cliff Gale, current Managing Director of Lite n’ Easy, Victoria. Cliff has provided guidance on general management, as well as contributing ideas to business strategies, staff management and marketing.
Graeme described Cliff’s input as invaluable. ‘I can’t speak highly enough of the Mentor Partners program and the valuable time and information that Cliff gives us each time we meet,’ said Mr Bulluss. ‘It’s a rush afterwards to get back to the office to start implementing the latest ideas he gives us.’
Are you a small business needing some help with your strategy for the future? The Mentor program provides FREE volunteer business mentoring and support. It's jointly funded by the Kingston and Glen Eira Councils.
Who are the Mentors? Successful business people (many retired) who volunteer their time, knowledge and practical expertise because they enjoy doing it! All Mentors are accredited.
Who's Eligible? Any business based in Kingston or Glen Eira that has been in operation for 12 months or more. Businesses will need to pick-up incidental out-of-pocket expenses for their mentors (such as travel, photocopying, etc.)
